Spice Up! General Tao is an authentic mild Chinese soy sauce-based ready-to-use sauce. The sauce is a combination of sweet, salty, and sour. The Hoisin sauce used as the base gives the sauce a umami flavor. The most popular way to prepare General Tao chicken is to add the sauce over deep-fried chicken pieces, then heat the chicken and sauce together. Serve with rice or noodles. General Tao sauce is also suitable as a stir-fry sauce, for soups, and as a seasoning for noodle and rice dishes. Ready-to-use Spice Up! sauces are packed in practical 100 g pouches, enough for a serving for two people. You only need meat and/or vegetables additionally.
