Ledins MacroLedin 12 g is a constipation preparation containing macrogol powder for the treatment of constipation in adults and children over 8 years old. Macrogol is safe to use: it is a synthetic, water-binding substance that is not absorbed into the body but passes through the intestines unchanged and is excreted with the stool. When macrogol is taken with water, it binds the ingested water and carries it to the intestine. It does not bind fluids from the body. As the water content in the bowel increases, hard stool softens and the bowel starts to function normally. Bowel movements begin to occur without painful straining.
Usage For the treatment of constipation. The usual duration of treatment is up to 14 days. Read the package leaflet before use.
Dosage Adults and children over 8 years: 1-2 sachets per day. The sachet powder is mixed with a glass (approx. 2 dl) of water or juice, stirred and drunk as a clear solution. The dose can be taken at any time of day.
For pregnant and breastfeeding women, follow the doctor\'s instructions.
