Dansukker Glucose Syrup is an excellent aid for home cooks. It allows you to make velvety smooth homemade ice cream and sorbet even without an ice cream machine. Glucose syrup prevents the formation of large ice crystals in frozen desserts. Thanks to this, the ice cream and sorbet achieve the right crystal-free mouthfeel and a soft, melt-in-the-mouth texture. Glucose syrup is also suitable for making sweets such as toffee, fudge, marshmallows, and hard candies, as well as for baking and cooking. In homemade sweets, glucose syrup regulates the crystallization of regular sugar, resulting in the characteristic texture of toffee and fudge. In sauces and marinades, glucose syrup provides firmness and structure. Glucose syrup is made from wheat starch but is gluten-free. It contains glucose, maltose, and long-chain sugars. Glucose syrup does not contain fructose. Its taste is less sweet than regular syrup.
